Job Description

Stanford’s Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (“DAPER”) is the premier intercollegiate athletics program in the country. We are the proud Home of Champions! We lead the nation with 137 NCAA championship titles, won the Women’s Capital One Cup four of the last five years, and have brought home the Learfield Director’s Cup 26 times. Our dedicated staff embody a culture of excellence, embrace our mission of scholar-athleticism and exemplify a relentless championship spirit. Our actions and staff are guided by the core tenets of the Athletics Department culture, “The DAPER Way,” which are: Embrace Scholar-Athleticism, Pursue and Revere Excellence, Lead with Courage and Work Cohesively.

Are you ready to inspire champions? If yes, then this may be the right opportunity for you!

This position is on-site and based at the Stanford Campus, Stanford, CA.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate HRIS data activities, including initiating transactions and generating reports to support compliance, audits, and metrics tracking.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data and act as the point of contact for promptly identifying and resolving payroll-related issues.

  • Assist with and explain applicable workers’ compensation, disability and leave procedures, and generate related correspondence; update and maintain reports to track leaves and workers’ compensation documentation.

  • Maintain personnel and human resources-related files and information, including driver authorizations and I-9 forms.

  • Provide support to contingent employee hiring, including offer letters, background checks, and contingent orientation.

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, interview scheduling, and applicant disposition in partnership with hiring managers and HR staff.

  • Input and update labor schedules for new hires as needed.

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for DAPER staff by providing clear guidance on HR policies, procedures, and navigation questions (e.g., "how to" and "where to find" information).
