Responsibilities

 

Analyzes film data on the current team and opponents and provides summary reports and analysis to the coaching staff and players. Assists with the coordination of daily administrative support, statistical analyses, and opponent preparation to include, but not limited to: The coordination of video cuts and distribution of preliminary offensive, defensive, and special teams scouting reports. Assists self-scouting offensive, defensive, and special team's schemes. Supports the walk-on program with their research of prospective student-athletes. Travels with the coaching staff and team to provide statistical support.

Responsible for identifying weaknesses in plays and suggesting new strategies to the coaching staff in practice. Responsible for overall game day preparation, statistical analysis, and video analysis of opposing teams. Analyzes opposing team strategy, and chart tendencies, and proposes strategic plays.

Assists with special projects assigned by the Defensive Coordinator, Offensive Coordinator, and Head Football Coach.

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Experience using XOS video editing software.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of offensive/defensive schemes, practice, and game plans, offensive/defensive playbooks and game books at the collegiate level.
