LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State has announced the hiring of its 13th head coach in program history, Adeniyi Amadou. The first-time head coach brings with him over 15 years of experience at the Division I level. He currently serves as the associate head coach at Rhode Island, which clinched an NCAA Tournament berth on Sunday, March 8, when it defeated George Mason to win the Atlantic 10 Tournament title. This also represents the first head coach hiring for NM State Director of Athletics Joe Fields.

Head Coach Kathy Rodolph and Associate Head Coach Cat Heifner will be moving on from their roles with the program. Assistant Coach Benet Higgs will serve as the interim head coach for the 2026 season.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State Volleyball rounded out its coaching staff on Monday, Head Coach Mike Jordan announced. The Aggies will bring Chris Hertel back for the 2025 campaign, reuniting with a five-year former assistant. This time around, Hertel will be tabbed as associate head coach, earning the distinction as the top assistant to Jordan, his longtime friend and colleague.
